Jean-Luc et Samson à la rencontre des Dodel d'Immenstadt

En ce qui concerne les Dodel et les Hagspiel, voici 2 photos en forme de mise en bouche :

La 1ère est notre arrivée à Immenstadt im Allgäu, où mon fils Samson et moi posons devant le panneau d'entrée. Nous avons vérifié, et il y a effectivement des Dodel et des Hagspiel localement...!

Mais il y a aussi une floppée de "Ott", comme chez nous, des Frentz aussi !

La 2ème est l'auberge "Hagspiel", qui est désaffectée depuis une vingtaine d'année (et doit être rasée durant ce mois de septembre); elle se situe à 15m (oui 15 mètres, pas 15 minutes) de la frontière autrichienne, et selon le monsieur qui est devant (Ernst Dodel est son nom), c'était là le fief historique des Hagspiel, qui outre l'auberge, y avaient une ferme-scierie (actuellement galerie d'art/artisanat) en face, puisqu'autrefois on avait toujours plusieurs métiers. La 1ère auberge date de 1532 (je crois, car la pierre était cassée et la photo que j'en ai prise ratée), elle a été reconstruite et agrandie au fil du temps pour aboutir à ce grand batiment voué à la destruction aujourd'hui.

Les DOUDEL; DODELL, DODELER, DODELLER à Hestroff avant 1680

Nous avons déjà cité Martin DOUDEL, qui fut parrain, le 2 mai 1682, de Marie GERMAN ou GUERMANN. Il fut cité "jeune homme tyrolien maçon chez Rodolphe HACKSPILL".

Ce Martin avait deux frères. L'un, prénommé Georges, s'est marié à Gomelange avec Régine ou Reine SCHNEIDER, et l'autre, François, a épousé en 1690 Virginie Elisabeth KIEFFER de Freistroff.

C'est lors du mariage de François, que nous apprenons que les parents, Balthasar et Ursula, sont originaires d' Ymbstat ... Certes, il nous a fallu un certain temps avant de faire le rapprochement avec Immenstadt dans l'Allgäu, pas loin d'ailleurs d'Oberstaufen, autre fief des Hakspill.

Le couple François et Elisabeth s'installe à Freistroff où il aura 8 enfants dont 5 fils.

Leur 3e fils, Mathieu ou Mathias, épouse à Anzeling Anne Claire BRETNACHER, dont 9 enfants. Il pérénise son nom sous la forme de DODELLER.

Le dernier fils, Sébastien épouse Appoline MATHIS à Filstroff.

Une petite fille de François, Anne-Marie DODELLER épouse en 1766 à Hestroff Jean-Pierre KETZINGER, ancêtre de tous les porteurs contemporains de ce patronyme.

Une fois de plus, nous pouvons constater que la communauté originaire de la Bavière et du Tyrol se "tenait les coudes".

Aux Dodeller qui se sont installés à Hestroff tout au début du 20e, nous pouvons leur affirmer qu'ils cousinent bien sûr avec tous les Ketzinger de France et de Navarre mais surtout avec un grand nombre de contemporains habitant encore au village et aux alentours de Hestroff, notamment à Edling-Anzeling et Freistroff.

Les BRETTNACHER à Hestroff avant 1680

Claussen ou Nicolas BRETTNACHER ou BRETNACHER alias ANZELINGER, mentionné à Anzeling avant la Guerre de Trente Ans, est l’ancêtre de toutes les familles anciennes de Hestroff.

Nous l’avions un peu oublié car son patronyme ne fut pas pérennisé sur Hestroff.

Il était cité propriétaire à Brettnach dans un pied terrier datant de 1626.

Nicolas fut appelé Brettnacher à Anzeling où il possédait des terres et Anzelinger à Brettnach où il avait gardé des terres.

En 1717 (ADM 3E1857) ses héritiers vendent des biens sur le ban de Brettnach à Jean Bernard DALSTEIN et Suzanne LEONARD son épouse.

Les vendeurs sont supposés être ses enfants, dont Salentin et Engel épouse Hans WAGNER ayant une nombreuse descendance sur Hestroff.

Salentin naquit à Freistroff le 5 juin 1626 où on l’appelait aussi WILHELM. Il a 8 enfants de sa première épouse Suzanne HOFFMAN et 1 enfant avec sa deuxième femme Suzanne ESCHER.

Les TRANSBERG ou TRANSBERGER à Hestroff avant 1680

Les TRANSBERG sont d'origine tyrolienne. Georges, lors de son mariage, déclara être né à ...lang, Ysamar dans l'Allgäu. Nous n'avons jamais été en mesure de localiser Ysamar, même en testant des graphies rapprochées. La plume des scribes a-t-elle fourché ou le lieud-dit a-t-il changé de nom depuis le 17e ?

Georges, Jean et Joseph étaient tous trois maîtres charpentier, Christian maître tailleur. Il nous reste des passations de marché de Jean TRANSBERG avec l'abbaye de Villers-Bettnach. Voir hackspill.over-blog.com.

Le patronyme n'a pas été pérennisé. Les descendants à Hestroff sont les familles BAUSCH-BAUER, BEHEM, CASARA, DEPENWEILLER, FRIDRICI, GORGES, HACKSPILL, KETZINGER, KIEFFER (via Hombourg-Budange), KIEN-FANTIN, NADé, OTT, REIMERINGER, SCHILTZ et SINS... en fait toutes les familles anciennes du village.

Benedikt HACKSPILL †1681 et sa descendance sur Hestroff

Benedikt HACKSPILL, attesté maître maçon, tyrolien marié en ce lieu, âgé d'environ vingt-neuf ans, vient de décéder au coeur de l'hiver 1681 dans des circonstances que nous ignorons. Il avait épousé une autochtone, Anne-Catherine CORDONNIER, fille de Marcus, qui lui avait donné un fils dix ans plus tôt.

Depuis quand est-il à Hestroff ? De toute vraisemblance, Benedikt ou Benoît, appartient à la première vague migratoire comme ses frère et/ou cousin Martin et Rodolphe Hackspill.

Sa veuve se remarie trois ans plus tard avec un certain Louis DALSTEIN, originaire de Piblange et censier de l'abbaye de Villers Bettnach sur le ban de Hestroff (4e rang après le tabellon, le curé et la famille NADé).

Louis Dalstein semblait assez vorace et multipliait les transactions foncières en vue d'agrandir son patrimoine. A-t-il tenté de mettre la main sur l'héritage de son fils adoptif ?

Tout le laisse penser car les frères de Benedikt, Jean et André, vinrent du lointain Tyrol pour défendre l'héritage de leur neveu Nicolas, encore mineur en 1693, et confier devant notaire à leur frère ou cousin Rodolphe la gestion des biens que Bénédikt laissa à son fils.

Benedikt, bien que décédé jeune, bien que père d'un seul fils, Nicolas, compte de nombreux descendants sur Hestroff. Il est l'aïeul des familles BAUSCH, BOTTER, CASARA, FRIDRICI, HACKSPILL, KETZINGER, KIEN, LEMMERY, NADé, PICK, SCHILTZ, etc...

Les HORGE/HORST/HORSCH

La saga des Horsch commence en 1705 avec la venue au monde de Nicolas, premier enfant de Simon et Julienne Caudy. D’où vient Simon, son père ? On n’en sait rien encore… Toujours est-il que Simon s’est introduit dans la communauté en épousant Julienne fille d’Estienne Caudy, meunier à Edling à la fin du 17e. Nicolas, dont on a perdu les traces, eut comme parrain Nicolas Caudy et comme marraine Reine Hennequin, épouse de Jean Transberger, dont la première fille épousa Joseph Hackspill.

Tout au plus, peut-on constater que Simon baigne d’emblée dans l’ambiance tyrolienne, ses enfants, petits-enfants faisant alliance avec les familles d’origine tyrolienne telles les Steff, Fieg, Fousse, Bolzinger, Hackspill, Ketzinger. Au passage, notons que Pierre Horge ou Horsch qui épousa Elisabeth Hackspill eut 6 enfants, dont Jean Pierre °1824, menuisier à Paris et décédé à Meudon, Jean Bernard Clément 1825, instituteur à Kirschnaumen. Ce couple n’a aucune descendance sur Hestroff. Faut se rendre à Paris pour retrouver les petits-enfants.

Les descendants sur Hestroff sont issus des couples Horsch-Nadé et Horsch-Ketzinger. Ils nsont relativement nombreux et on peut citer les familles BEHEM, KETZINGER, KINDZIG, NADé-KETZINGER, NADé-MULLER, PERINI, WAGNER-SINS-DEPENWEILLER et WANNIERE-OTT/GORGES.

Nicolas Hackspill, vigneron, échevin de justice à Hestroff en 1720

Nous avons évoqué l'extrême longévité des Hackspill (voir leur blog).

Nous vous avons présenté François CHOTIN, dont les exploits n'entrent pas dans nos statistiques encore incapables de faire une distinction entre pommes et poires. Il faut rappeler qu'il eut un prédécesseur s'étant distingué un demi-siècle plus tôt à procréer au delà de 70 ans à une cadence digne d'une jeune homme.

Nicolas est orphelin de père, en janvier 1681, à l'âge de 10 ans.

A l'âge de peut-être 32 ans, il épouse la jeune soeur de son beau-père, Marguerite DALSTEIN, qui meurt en couches le 12 décembre 1704 après avoir donné naissance à une fille prénommée Anne-Catherine.

Nicolas resté veuf épouse en secondes noces Catherine BRUN ou BRAUN en 1709, union sans enfant qui prit fin en 1742 avec le décès de cette dernière.

Nicolas, resté veuf une 2e fois, contracte l'année suivante une 3e union à l'âge respectable de 72 ans avec une petite jeunesse de 23 ans. Vous avez bien lu... il n'y pas de faute de frappe...

Marie-Catherine SIMAR, SIMMER ou ZIMMER est née en 1720 à Piblange, paroisse de Drogny (les H, semble-t-il, aimaient trouver chaussure à leur pied dans cette localité qui se trouve à mi-chemin entre l'abbaye de Villers-Bettnach et Hestroff). Il y eut dispense d'affinité accordée par le pape du 1er au 2e degré. Marie-Catherine était probablement nièce de par sa mère de Catherine Brun mais aucun document pour l'affirmer. Mais ceci n'est qu'une parenthèse, car notre couple eut 6 enfants entre 1743 et 1753, soit un enfant tous les 2 ans. Ce rythme soutenu fut interrompu par le décès de Nicolas qui intervint en janvier 1755, quand Nicolas tira sa révérence à l'âge respectable de 84 ans...

Hestroff et ses habitants après 1680, les PETER

Les PETER

Les frères PETER sont originaires de Fissen dans le Tyrol où ils ont laissé leurs parents Hein et Christina GEIGERIN.

Christian et Jacques sont tous deux maîtres tailleurs. Le premier épouse une Obry et le second une Pierre ou Stein, filles du pays.

Plus aucune trace du patronyme sur Hestroff dès la deuxième moitié du 18e. Pas de descendants contemporains connus.

Hestroff et ses habitants après 1680, les BOULANGé/BOULANGER

Les BOULANGé/BOULANGER

Cette famille n’a rien à voir avec nos Boulanger du 21e siècle. L’ancêtre Nicolas, maréchal ferrant à Hestroff déjà en 1702, est aussi appelé Féringer… (boulanger de métier originaire de Férange ?). Son épouse, Anne Marie Wagner ou Charon, est issue d’une ancienne famille du cru (voir les CHARON/WAGNER). Anne Marie, décédée à l’âge de soixante-dix ans, fut enterrée dans l’allée de l’église en 1753.

Alliance avec des tyroliens « certifiés ».

Le patronyme péréclite rapidement. Les descendants au 21 siècle se trouvent parmi les familles DIEHL, NADé-PICK et PICK.
